This study discusses how the narratives constructed from the perspective of storytelling can contribute to collaborative design processes of multidisciplinary teams, during the generation of solutions that promote social innovation. To do so, rescues up visions of some authors that address the main issues to be addressed: Design Driven Innovation, Process Design, Strategic Design, Human Centered Design, Co-design. Will also be presented theories focus on the themes of this work: Storytelling as a tool and technique for the design and the Social Innovation. In the present study, the storytelling is discussed as a tool which can support strategic design in the generation of social innovation, from two perspectives: (a) search tool, which seeks information on people and the environment they live in, (b) a tool designed to synthesize the research that intends to disseminate the data and generate inspiration among all project collaborators who are unaware of the realities of people living in a given context. So we, we sought a method that would allow study of such phenomena. Therefore, this research will study the case Dream: in Brazil. The connections result of this process may contribute to the design, because the study explores a tool that can provide information on multidisciplinary teams about people and contexts, and also build empathy and boost the inspiration to support the ideation phase.en
