| dc.description.abstract | This paper is a study about the field conflictuality in the process of midiatization in the religious field taken place in the Evangelical Church of Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB), through the Evangelical Newspaper. In order to contextualize this study in the theoretical scenery of communication and church in Brazil, the main scientific production on the issue from the last 40 years was taken into account, according the focus on the means, the subjects and the processes of communication. The theme of midiatization in the religious field is reflected upon from the stand point of the notion of social field and the characterization of the religious and midiatic fields. The midiatic field acts as an organizer of the other social fields in the public sphere, taking advantage for this purpose of its discursive competence. However, the field relationship is marked by tensions. In the case of Church and newspaper the field conflictuality is uncommon because it takes place inside the religious field and it is of historical and discursive nature. Therefore, this study describes and analyzes the field conflictualities manifested in the newspaper’s discourses. The theoretic input is constituted by authors as Bourdieu, Esteves, Rodrigues, Verón, Martín-Barbero, Bakhtin, Mauillaud and Fausto Neto. This study shows that the relation between the religious field and the midiatic field is marked by conflicts of discursive order, even though the communication medium had been instituted by the religious field. | en |
