| dc.description.abstract | This thesis aims to determine public policy and pedagogical practices developed in three public schools in Gravataí, Rio Grande do Sul. The chosen modality was youth and adult education and the CEREJA (Regional Center of Youth and Adult Education) Project which, for eleven years, intended a differentiation based on Freire's assumptions. It is also sought to be understood if there was some kind of popular participation in the implementation process of this type of studies. In theoretical terms, besides Paulo Freire, authors were elected who work with popular education, the education of youth and adults, and some authors whose work stands out in the area of teacher education. Methodologically, interviews (named comprehensive) were made, participant observations were also made, and a content analysis was performed. The results show a dense characterization of the CEREJA Project, revealing the possibilities, limits and contradictions of a project based on Freirean assumptions. | pt_BR |
