| dc.description.abstract | The present dissertation aims at the broad field of research concerned to teachers’ training. Its objective of study is the discomfort among the teachers of History. More precisely, from a qualitative research approach, I focus the meanings that the teachers of History attribute to the discomfort among the teaching staff. Based on the contribuitions of Narodowski (1999), Nadorowski and Brailovski (2006), Zaragoza (1999), Aguiar and Almeida (2008), Arroyo (2004), Tardif (2002), Correia (2001), Garcia (2002), among others, I study the teaching discomfort articulating it to a great crisis in senses in the modern world. The objectives of the research that originated this dissertation were: a) to identify some elements that have supported the teaching staff lately; b) to verify how the teachers of History who were interviewed characterize and contextualize the discomfort; c) to identify some prospects aiming at minimizing or even vanishing this discomfort.
