dc.description.abstractThis study, based on the qualitative approaching, it is centered in the initial formation and it presents a relation between Education, Art and Portuguese Language. The central objective was to analyze, from the understanding of students who are graduating in Art, if and in which way the curricular component Portuguese Language, directed to the aesthetic dimension, contributes in their formation as future teachers. I selected as interlocutors four teachers in formation at Visual Arts, Dance, Music and Theater Courses at FUNDARTE/UERGS - Montenegro/RS. The instruments to collect information were half-structured interviews and written narratives. Initially, I present my personal and professional trajectory as origin of the study, followed of the chapter on the empirical field. In the third chapter, I bring a theoretical reflection on the concepts central concepts in this research: teacher education and Portuguese Language teaching.
